"Quid"...that's slang for the British pound. Sort of like saying "buck" in reference to the U.S. dollar.

Hey! I just realized that we're on page 2 now!
At WonderCon 2008 (San Francisco), I looked around at several artists that could draw different sketches of Pajo. But then David Morris offered a few sketches himself!
It would be interesting to see different artists give their own interpretations of Pajo, though. So far David has been the closest with Pajo. And he *nailed* Talm! I thought that sketch of Talm was perfect!

Yay us! It's rather odd and a bit amusing that it ended up being only you and me left on here. What happened to Book?
Wouldn't it be a bit painful to be nailed? But anyway, aye, sort of rambunctious and sarcastic and spiky. Mikah looks really old for his age in that one.....

Ok, thanks, I get it.
Quid. Kwid. Squid quid. Skwid kwid. Quid kwid. Kwid kwid kwidditch.
Say it, it's fun! ;D
I earned another kneeling target today! And on the windiest day we've had out there, too. Amazing! I only need.....7 more.

Congrats on your accomplishment! Since this is an art thread...have you seen "America's Heart and Soul"? If I remember right, there is a guy in that movie that uses firearms to create art!
...quite strange...

Nay, I haven't. It does sound a bit odd. Oooh, one of the best cowboy movies involving a skilled rifleman is Quigley Down Under. Tom Selleck. It's great.
Somehow I always end up talking about movies......why?

I think that people in this day and age just naturally think cinemagraphically. That is probably of any age, though. We tend to equate life experiences with the prevailing forms of media. I'm sure that back in the late 1800's Louisa May Alcott imagined her life in the context of a book.
...hmmm...wait a minute!...

Yeeees, and I wonder what she did about it... I have one friend who compares her life with a Jane Austen book/movie. It's a frighteningly accurate comparison. ;D

How cool would that be, to be able to compare yourself to Jane Austen?
I suddenly want to watch Becoming Jane...

James McAvoy is suddenly everywhere. It's a bit frightening.
What happened to you, anyway?

I think Algebra II happened to her...
...poor thing...she had such potential...

*groan* I know how that is...and I'm not even in Algebra II (Mrs. Coffman said I could skip it and do some sort of consumer math when the time came).
I'm fighting a ferocious battle with Algebra I...sometimes losing, more often winning. But I will give no quarter, no surrender! I'll conquer this beast if it kills me. And it.

Exactly. Except I don't plan on going down. ;D Ol' Algy only won twice today. Poor strategising (my computer says that isn't a word?) on my part.

Someone has been reading Redwall. ;D I'd know a Long Patrol hare's accent anywhere. Sorry, mates, my mistake. Jonathan Park is a he, not an it. Well, he's an it, too, I guess. But I'm confusing you. Jonathan Park is the name of an audio series (and the main character) about two families who form the Creation Response Team and go around having adventures, fighting the theory of evolution, finding fossils, rescuing people, et cetera. Very Christian. Made by the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) and marketed by Vision Forum. He has his own website, jonathanpark.com I think about half of the cast goes to my church.
