"I thunk it...therefore, I is..."
Oh wait! No, that was *Cletus* Descartes...

Are you sure it wasn't Roscoe P. Coltrane Descartes?

Classic...of course, I only watched it for the FIRST season. You know...the GOOD episodes.

I've never heard of it. I imagine that it has several wonderful examples of the clever, witty banter shared between the two cousins...something about moonshine, I suppose...

I haven't played it in some time - there probably is some reference to the beverage. Mostly lots of fast driving and jumping over creeks.

Ummm...I hate to correct you, madam...
...but I believe the *proper* pronunciation would be 'cricks'!

Election night for me is like watching the Super Bowl. I yell at the television...throw things around the room...break stuff...
In the end, though, I know that I'll be alright...regardless of who wins...
It's for us to be gracious and to sincerly offer our support to those who represent us in government.

Yes, but.....
No. I refuse to discuss politics.....I'll only get dizzy and hyped up and frustrated and then where will I be?
Awww, I knew this chapter would be depressing.

Yeah...I agree...I'm trying to look at the silver lining.
...of course, that silver lining will be taxed...
We need to change subjects!

Okay.....
Have you ever read The Scarlet Letter?

I believe that I have, but it's been years. That's one of those that you can read every couple of years, or so. There's a fairly short list of those.

And then there's my list of "You absolutely must read this. Annually. Or else. Please?!"

'The Hobbit' makes my short list. 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' and then Huck Finn are both books I like to read every few years. I also like some of Bradbury's stuff like 'Fahrenheit 451'. Orwell's '1984' still sends shivers down my spine when I read the last four words.
'Fahrenheit 451' '1984' 'Brave New World' by Huxley
Every teen should read those...just before they are eligible to vote...

OOooogh. I listened to an Old Time Radio adaption of Brave New World...it was the weirdest thing I've ever heard.
'Rifles For Watie' is the first book on my annual list. I haven't failed yet. ;D
