Okay, I have waited long enough! I have recently communicated with David Morris over across the pond and I have decided to post the latest concept art regarding book two in the Three Pillars series.
He said that during the last sketch he was going through "a manga phase"! Personally, I loved it! But I think that this one is even better! The latest one is posted in the Concept Art section located on the Pajo page.
I especially love the fact that he gave Pajo what looks like tear stains. One of my most favorite animals is the cheetah. The cheetah's "tear stains" are a very distinctive feature and assist the cheetah while hunting in the sun. I can see this physical feature applying to the potheem race, as well.
David has assured me that a full color rendition, which will be used for the cover of 'The Prince's Orphans', will be completed soon. I am still undecided on whether to publish the cover art on the website before the book is released, though.
Any thoughts on this?

Ooooh, I like this one. The boys' noses look a bit funny, I think, but Jetha and Pajo are great. I agree about the tear marks; they make him look wilder and a bit sad, which is fitting.
But where's Crimson?!

Great point!
Just where *is* Crimson?
...ummm...she is tucked away under Pajo's cloak on his right shoulder...of course...

Oh, yes, of course, silly of me not to see the minuscule wrinkle she makes in his cloak.

Exactly!
There! Did you see it? Right there!

Is it just me, or is there a lizard on the rocks behind Talm? Every time I see the ocean waves on the map/homepage, I think "Sweet, those were my idea. Yup. My idea. I'm brilliant." More or less....and you took me seriously! That was the best part.

I took *all* of your suggestions on the Advanced Reader Copy seriously! You may have noticed a couple of other points that you raised within the body of the manuscript!
...and that's actually a messenger dragon near Talm. It may be a little difficult to see with the re-sized sketch. Once we have it in color, I'll be able to post the updated one.

Um. Actually? Heheh. I haven't read the finished/final edition you gave me. Yet. And I probably forgot most of what I said in the Reader copy, anyway.

You haven't? Everything changed! Malluk Dominer is actually crowned king and adopts the Inifant Prince!
...that scene where Pajo dies at the end is *so* sad, though...

Ooops! Did I reveal some spoilers? I need to stop doing that! Like when that UFO shows up in Book II...

*gives even fiercer skunk eye stare, the kind that normally sends people cowering into corners*
To quote the melee monster, "Bub, you're a mess."

The 'melee monster', eh? Sounds a lot like Wolverine to me...

Heheheheh....you speak my language.
I'm playing through Ultimate Alliance again and I just unlocked the Spidergirl outfit for Spider-Woman. Heehee, it looks kind of funny.

I played that game...only once, though. Once I actually have a living room again, I just might have to run through that one again.

Aye....'tis worth it, methinks. Book was telling me you have no kitchen, either.

No living room...no kitchen...no library...no foyer...I barely have a bedroom!

What? No conservatory? No billiard room? No secret passages?

I can't comment on the secret passages for fear of losing my 'secret clearance'... None of the other things...but I *do* have a Hall! We call it 'the Great Room', though. Does that count?
...I have yet to find 'Mr. Body' in *any* of these rooms, though...
...yet...

I shouldn't think you'd want to find him. Might be rather gruesome. I do hope you don't have a housekeeper called Miss White.
